About ChromaColour

ChromaColour International is a Canadian company located in Calgary, Alberta in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. ChromaColour has been a market leader for 35 years in the manufacture and supply of thousands of acrylic colours. The company has four divisions:
Our core division is “Animation” and we are the world leader in the manufacture and sale of a broad range of industry-specific equipment, furniture, software and supplies to major studios, individuals and schools around the world.

Our “Art Materials" division offers a wide range of supplies for the professional and hobby painter. ChromaColour Artist Colors, consist of a line of 84 pigment rich acrylic paints that dry to a velvety matte finish and are available in 50 ml bottles. For painters who wish a more translucent and fluid product that will dry to a gloss finish, try our 24 colour range of “Fluid Acrylics”. We also offer a full range of “ChromaColour Artist Mediums”, brushes and other supplies.

Our "Ceramics" division offers a diverse line of products for contemporary "paint your own" ceramic studios, schools and potters. We currently manufacture close to 100 vibrant Underglaze Colours, which can be fired at the cone 06-05 range and 85% have the capability to fire as high as cone 10. These Underglazes offer colour consistency, easy application, and are lead free, non-toxic, functional and ASTM certified. ChromaColour Underglazes, branded as Eco-Coat can be found in homes, professional studios, retail contemporary studios, schools and colleges. We also offer brushing and dipping glaze, Texture Medium (for that 3-D look), non-fired bisque paint, bisque and a variety of other products from our supplier partners including: Bisque Imports; Paragon; Clay Puzzling; Royal Brush; Kemper Tools and Gare.

The "ChromaColour Creative Art Centre" opened in the Spring of 2009 and is a hub of art related activity including ceramics, clay puzzling, acrylic painting, oil pastel work, and a wide range of other art activity. This 50 seat studio is joined by a 1,000 sq ft facilty where we offer a variety of workshops, classes, and gallery shows.
