INTRODUCING
CHROMACOLOUR FLUID ACRYLICS |
 |
|

Canadian
based ChromaColour International announced today the introduction of a
line of new Acrylic Paints.
ChromaColour Fluid Acrylics
is a range of 24 colours that are complimentary to the existing
ChromaColour Artist Colour range of 84 colours. Unlike
ChromaColour Artist Colors, which are opaque and matte,
ChromaColour Fluid Acrylics have the following characteristics.
¤
Highly
intense, translucent colours that provide the artist with
incredible versatility.
¤
They dry to
a permanent gloss finish.
¤
They are
more fluid and allow clean, sharp colour mixing.
¤
These
lightfast paints offer durability, flexibility and excellent adhesion
properties.
¤
They have no fillers or extenders and like all ChromaColour
products, they are highly pigmented.
¤
Because of their low viscosity, brushes carry more paint for quicker,
more effective coverage.
“We
are very excited about this new product introduction”, says John Munro,
President of ChromaColour International. ”It’s a wonderful range of
colour and is the first of a number of product introductions coming from
our company.”
The paints will be
available in 1.7 oz / 50ml bottles, unique to ChromaColour and will
include new packaging. The 24 colours will be available in 3 series with
suggested retail consistent with the ChromaColour Artist Colours
range.
In addition to our Fine
Art Products, ChromaColour is the world’s leader in animation supplies,
equipment, software and furniture. ChromaColour also manufactures
ChromaColour Underglaze, a line of 65 colours used in the painting of
bisque for Ceramics. ChromaColour manufactures close to 3,000 colours.

ChromaColour Introduces
Digital Palettes for Macromedia Flash
Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - ChromaColour International
was originally asked to develop Cell Paint for the BBC TV in 1978. At
that time, everyone painting on cells, including Disney, was using a
mixture of Gouache and Gum Arabic. For painting cells, this was less
than satisfactory. However, Gouache was the only medium with enough
opacity, and Gum Arabic provided the adhesive quality which provided the
best option to make the paint stick to the cells.
Two years later, in 1980, and after extensive research and development,
ChromaColour established itself as the world leader in animation cell
paint production, with all major studios in the animation industry using
our product.
“Mainly pure organic pigments of the highest
intensity and the finest quality were selected to produce the largest
selection of animation colors available anywhere in the world…over 1800
colors. The success of the product was directly related to the close
working relationship with the animation industry while in development”,
says John Munro, President of Calgary based ChromaColour International.
“As is ChromaColour’s reputation, we provided exactly what was needed.
The creamy consistency, opacity, and structure of the paint actually
allowed the studios to speed up production.”
Color Selectors are of prime importance when deciding
on color models. Hand made by painting each of the colors in the range
onto the cell, this reference provided the only complete guide to the
ChromaColour system. Selectors are available in Series 100,
a range of 600 colors based on the original ChromaColour palette which
is a diverse range of intense color and color tones. This series also
includes a selection of fluorescents and pale pastels. The Series
600 palette is a color range of 600 colors equivalent to the
Cell Vinyl Series. This is sometimes referred to as the North American
palette. The Series 1200 range, is 600 colors equivalent
to the Japanese Taiyu Sun Color palette.
ChromaColour eventually offered its RGB values in
digital format, and the next step was incorporating the Chromacolour
Palettes into CTP Pro, Educational or Paint 2D software.
And now, because of the demand for us to do so, and because Macromedia
Flash is becoming so popular with amateur and professional animators
alike, ChromaColour International is proud to introduce all three of its
Palettes in NTSC and PAL format for Macromedia Flash.
