Cel Paint |
| |
|
|
A huge array of
more than 1800 colors, available in three standard color series.
Color Consistency
Each color is
guaranteed to match the original formulated color to a tolerance of
+/-5% tint value (or .2 to .3 "Delta E" value, using the CMC equations
ratio 1:1). This produces a high level of consistency that our
competitors simply can't duplicate. All colors are matched under a
tungsten light source of 3200 degrees Kelvin to simulate filming
conditions.
Maximum Opacity
97 percent of our colors require only one coat. Even when applied very
thickly, the paint will not crack or flake off the cel. To achieve
maximum opacity, cel paint should be diluted by at least 25-30% with
clean water. Paint should only be diluted immediately prior to mixing or
use.
Resists Fading
All pigments used are lightfast. On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being
completely lightfast and 10 being totally fugitive, all Cel Paint colors register a 1 or 2.
Long Shelf Life
Cel paint is guaranteed for two years from the date of delivery. It
will remain in good condition for even longer provided that the paint is
kept free of contaminants, containers are kept tightly closed and the
paint is not allowed to freeze. Extreme, abrupt changes in temperature
and exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods can also be
detrimental to the shelf life of the paint.
Ideal for Detail Work
Very fine
pigment particle size. Properly diluted, paint can be used in air
brushes and dip pens. |
